How can I deselect a checkbox after the user clicks the edit button on an ASP.NET GridView row?
I have an ASP.NET GridView. I want to give the user a way of editing the item they are currently viewing. The default action of pressing the edit button is to show the edit form. I want to have a checkbox appear in that form, checked by default. I want the user to be able to check the checkbox, and then click the "save" button to save the current edit to the item. After the save has occurred, the checkbox should disappear.
My GridView has two columns - one with the checkbox and one with the "save" button. I have a code-behind class that contains an edit and a save method.
How can I do this?

I don't think you need any code at all. You can add the checkbox column with the checkbox type - this makes it available in the edit form for the user to select. Then when they click on "save" you will want to bind the value to the database on the postback (that is, if the checkbox is checked, do this)
